THE PUNJAB GROCERY STORY

Like the Phoenix that rose from ashes, Dasuya, a small town in the state of Punjab, is said to have been destroyed and rebuilt several times over during the course of history. "My childhood was filled with stories from the past. The resilience of the town was not lost on its people for whom hardwork and grit was everything. These values held me in good stead when I proudly served in the US army. My deployment in the Middle East has had a huge impact on who I have now become," says Raj, a young veteran who recently rejoined his family in Everett.

Raj moved to the United States from Dasuya for his undergrad. He attended Univ. of Maine. "I was the first one in my family to come to the US for college. My parents and those before them ran restaurants and owned tea stalls in bus stations in our town. That enterprising spirit along with my innate urge to serve the community, is what made me start Punjab Grocery Market" says Raj.

"Opening a one-of-a-kind grocery store that carries Indian, Pakistani, Russian, African, and Mediterranean products is a first step to bringing people from varied backgrounds closer. Punjab Grocery Market will be a destination for not only your cooking needs, but will also be a way to meet and greet one another in our community", he confidently says.

This newly opened store in Everett is a multi-ethnic market that is sure to carry everything you need on your grocery list!
